A birthday celebration indeed!

Hello my lovely followers!

Or should I say Isaiah's followers? Since most of my posts are about Isaiah and his journey....it yet again has been a minute since I last posted. I promise I will get better! It's just that sometimes there's either not enough time in the day or nothing new going on so I don't wanna bore y'all with the same ole same ole...ya know.

Anyway. Here's some news! We threw Isaiah's birthday party today. Remember I said we were going to do one here and one in Germany on his actual birthday. Well, today was the day for his Minot birthday celebration. Unfortunately nobody form the NICU came, neither did my OB or Isaiah's pediatrician but I'm not going to dwell on that so let's move on to the fun part. Crazy as I am (and because I was expecting 50+ people) I made the cake and cupcakes myself as well as the cookies for the favor bags.

The cake also had a nice candle but the picture was taken right before we cut into it! It was white cake with marshmallow buttercream frosting! Sooo good!

Isaiah thought so too! We did the party at the pavilion right next to the golf course. Never again I have to admit! While the pavilion itself is quite nice the staff apparently don't maintain it so the bathroom was, well, let's not mention any details here.... Anywho! The great thing is it has a playground attached to it! The kids had a blast and thankfully the weather played along today!

Oh, and by the way, instead of gifts we asked for donations for CHASA. So far we've raised $240 from the birthday party but there are still people that said they would like to donate! We have the most amazing friends ever! We are truly grateful for all the support they've shown us through it all. And we are also thankful for all of you who follow Isaiah and us along this journey! And we are happy to say that it gets better every day!

Now let me go off to bed, there's lots of packing and cleaning waiting for me tomorrow....3 more days and Germany, here we come!

Love,
